GBI Hydraulic and Pump Testing Services
INDUSTRY LEADING
We are fully equipped to test bores up to 35 l/s at depths of up to 90 m for bore commissioning and aquifer yield assessments, including remote telemetry and continuous logging.
We have experience in testing at higher rates and from lower depths, using generators and pumps.

SMART PUMP FLOW, WATER LEVEL CONTROL AND TELEMETRY
We use magflow and ultrasonic flow meters to accurately monitor the flow rate in all pump tests. Additionally, we use proprietary Smart Pump controllers to ensure that we can hold steady flow rates or alternatively, adjust the flow to maintain the water level steady. The Smart Pump echos results via satellite communications onto our Smartpump website so that tests can be monitored by operators in real time from anywhere in the world. Access can be provided to clients to review pump test operations live.​​​​

HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT
We have Safety Management Systems that cover client inductions, training, PPE, communication safety, vehicle safety, workplace safety, chemical safety and electrical safety. This includes using both GBI and/or client safety protocols when working on remote sites, such as scheduled satellite phone travel and daily check-ins. Our Staff are also experienced with working under both government and client requirements for Environmental and Heritage, including following protocols for protection of native vegetation, rubbish management, site clean-up, waste water management and clearing approvals. For example, diesel is used to power all generators to limit fire risk. Refuelling is undertaken over containment bunds with spill kits on hand. Our work procedures include but are not limited to daily prestart checks, job safety analysis, safe work procedures and discharge management plans.

Our staff, as a minimum, have completed the following courses:
• Whitecard (construction card) • Senior First Aid and • 4WD Driver Training.
Our employees also regularly complete mining company site clearances (including drug and alcohol clearances) and site inductions.
Go Anywhere
GBI’s hydraulic testing equipment is specifically designed to be all-terrain and self reliant so that we can access the most remote bore sites with minimal fuss. Our equipment includes a fully equipped 4wd truck with 10 tonne meter crane; all-terrain genset trailers and 4wd light vehicles.
Competent
Our employees are competent in all technical aspects of pumping testing and remote area field work. This includes performing site mobilisation, site setup, step tests, constant rate tests, recovery tests, plant/equipment management, recording data, performing in-field hydraulic analysis, submitting data to clients and field general communication-reporting procedures with both client and GBI Management.
Management
We have extensive Project Management and Field Operational Management experience gained in providing hydrogeological drilling supervision and hydraulic pump testing services to the mining industry. We have support from a team with strong hydrogeology knowledge and extensive experience with managing mine water supply and dewatering projects/operations in remote regions.
